Asian Founder started off as a newsletter, featuring Asian Gen Z founders and creators to inspire young people to innovate. Through that experience, I discovered the value of community for those forging their own paths. Especially when you’re young, starting something can be lonely, unstable, and hard to understand by other people.
As Asian-Americans, many of us were raised by immigrant parents who sacrificed a lot to provide us with the best opportunities. For some of us, that meant taking the risk to build something we were passionate about, but oftentimes in conflict with the traditional path our parents wanted for us. Being in NYC, we wanted to create an intimate space for Asian Gen Z founders and creators to feel seen and supported by other people who understand.
